Riverview Park and Zoo are situated 1300 Water street, Peterborough, ON. It began in the year 1933 when Ross Dobbin opened the zoo. The land is 55.5 acres, which are equivalent to 22.5 ha. The zoo grew in size as more birds and animals were acquired. The park includes the giant playground in Peterborough city. The park gained popularity and became a place where residents went for picnics and enjoyment. Through generous donations and support from community members and visitors, there has been advancement growth in the zoo.

The Riverview Park and Zoo administration make recommendations on matters concerning the park. Currently, the following are the committee advisory members:

The species include River Otter, Yak, Camel, Squirrel Monkey, Wallaby, Emu, two-Toed Sloth, Sichuan Takin, Crocodile, and more. It is a beautiful and small zoo with a wide range of animals to see and walk around with family. It is a kid-friendly destination with a big playground. It features equipment for physically challenged children. No one is left out!
